With Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez officially leaving the judge's table on American Idol--there was a LOT of speculation about who would fill those coveted spots.Mariah Carey was rumored to be first in line to join the show and that rumor turned out to be true!
Mariah officially signed on the dotted line and announced today that she'll definitely be sitting at the judges' table during Season 11 of the show.
How does Mariah feel about the news?
She said today, "As a singer, songwriter and producer, it's going to be fun and rewarding to help find new talent and give back with American Idol... I can't wait to channel my creative energy as a part of this show which is a massive global phenomenon."
Now there's still one more judge's seat to fill (maybe two if Randy Jackson also decides not to return).
