Steve Jobs' super yacht has entered choppy financial waters.
Venus, the 256-foot, all-aluminum vessel that the late Apple founder commissioned, was impounded in the Port of Amsterdam Wednesday, due to a dispute over commissions allegedly owed to designer Philippe Starck, the Associated Press reports.

Starck, claims that he's still owed 3 million Euros -- nearly $4 million in U.S. dollars -- of the 9 million Euros that he says he's owed for designing the boat with Jobs.
The yacht was impounded after Starck retained a debt-collection agency and obtained a legal order preventing the boat from leaving, the Associated Press said.

A Port of Amsterdam authority told the AP that the boat was preparing to leave the harbor, but will now be held until the dispute is resolved.
"It was actually ready to continue its voyage when there was a dispute between two parties, including the heirs, and one party laid a claim on the boat," port spokesman Jeroen Ranzijn said.
Resolving the issue might be a little complicated -- an attorney for Starck's company Ubik admitted to NBC News that there wasn't much in the way of a written agreement over the terms of the design.
"The project has been going since 2007, and there had been a lot of detailed talk between Jobs and Starck," Roelant Klaassen told NBC. "These guys trusted each other, so there wasn't a very detailed contract."
Jobs died in October 2011 at age 56, following a long battle with cancer.
