Last Love Remembers Audrey Hepburn on 20th Anniversary of Death

Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn is not only a Hollywood legend, but she was also a compassionate humanitarian.

It’s hard to believe but it’s been 20 years since the lovely Hepburn lost her battle with abdominal cancer on Jan. 20, 1993. Now, her last love is remembering the woman he admired and adored.

Robert Wolders, who is now 76-years-old, was the last great love of the actresses life. They were together for 13 years prior to her death at the age of 63. Wolders described his love by saying, “She was not this ethereal creature. She was an earthy woman with a ribald sense of humor.” He continued, “(She) was more than beauty. It was this extraordinary mystique.”

Hepburn is said to have loved shopping, but for groceries rather than clothes. She kept things casual at home by not wearing makeup. She never went to the gym, had Scotch every evening and dedicated her time to doing charity work for UNICEF.

Hepburn would have turned 84 this year.
