‘NSync’s Chris Kirkpatrick Engaged to Karly Skladany

Say “Bye Bye Bye” to another single ‘Nsync-er.

Chris Kirkpatrick proposed to his girlfriend of two and a half years, marketing rep Karly Skladany, last week on a birthday trip Italy.

The former boy-bander hadn’t planned on popping the question — but felt the romantic setting was just right.

“We had a hotel room at the Isle of Capri, overlooking the Mediterranean,” he confessed to People. “It was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. And it hit me: I wanted to propose to Karly. So I ran to a jewelry store, found the perfect ring and bought it.”

Skladany, 28, went public with the happy news on her Facebook by changing her relationship status to ‘engaged’ on Oct. 25, and an outpouring of well wishes and congratulations followed from friends and family on the the social networking page.

According to People, the 41-year-old singer chose a large oval-cut diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds on a two-tiered white gold band for his bride-to-be.

Despite being in Italy for his birthday on Oct. 17 during the same time as Justin Timberlake’s wedding to Jessica Biel just two days later, Kirkpatrick and Skladany didn’t attend the nuptials. But there are no hard feelings toward his ex-bandmate, with Kirkpatrick telling the magazine: “He didn’t want the wedding to be an ‘Nsync reunion, and I totally understand that.”
