Rosie O’Donnell suffered a heart attack last week, and credits her survival to the Internet/TV ads!
“Thank god/saved by a tv commercial/literally,” she wrote Monday on her blog. ”They call this type of heart attack/the Widow Maker/i am lucky to be here,” she added.
O’Donnell, 50, said her heart attack happened early last week after helping a woman who was stuck in her car. The star was home when she began experiencing painful symptoms. She later wrote, “i had an ache in my chest, both my arms were sore everything felt bruised…muscular – i thought.”
She continued on with her day, but the pain persisted. Her skin started to get clammy but she was very hot and began throwing up.
Adding:
“maybe this is a heart attack
i googled womens heart attack symptoms
i had many of them
but really? – i thought – naaaa”
She took a Bayer aspirin which remembered seeing recommended in ads. Later, doctors found her coronary artery was 99% blocked, and they inserted a stent.
Rosie is back home and recovering.
