Ratings: 'The Bachelorette' Finale Wins Night for ABC; 'Big Brother' Down

ABC won Sunday night with "The Bachelorette" season finale and "The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose," while CBS's "Big Brother" took a ratings hit, according to preliminary numbers.

ABC grabbed first place in the advertiser-cherished 18-49 demographic with a 2.6 rating/8 share and in total viewers with 7.9 million. Following an "America's Funniest Home Videos" repeat at 7 p.m., both "Bachelorette" programs were up, starting with "The Bachelorette" finale at 8, which was up 7 percent in the demo from last year's finale with a 3.0/9. It drew 8.6 million total viewers. "The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose" at 10 -- which was the night's highest-rated and most-watched program, was up 14 percent from last year in the demo, posting a 3.2/9 and receiving 9.1 million total viewers.

CBS took second place in ratings and total viewers with a 1.2/3 and 5.2 million. The network ran repeats throughout the night, save for "Big Brother" at 8, which was down 17 percent from last Sunday with a 1.9/6 and drew 5.4 million total viewers.

Fox tied Univision for third in ratings and fourth in total viewers with a 1.0/3 and 2.7 million total viewers. Aside from the "2012 Teen Choice Awards" at 8, which ran even with last year for a 1.1/3 and drew 3 million total viewers, the network ran repeats.

NBC took fifth place in ratings and third in total viewers with a 0.9/3 and 3.6 million. "Dateline" at 7 was up 25 percent from last week with a 1.0/3, and drew 4.2 million total viewers. Aside from "Dateline," NBC aired repeats.
