(PCM) “Gangsta’s Paradise” rapper Coolio, is in the spotlight again, and it’s not positive.
The Rapper’s Son, Grtis Ivey, 22, is facing at least three years and possibly ten in prison for armed robbery. The minimum sentence comes as apart of the plea agreement, but the judge reserves the right to jail him for ten years.
The incident happened on October 29 of last year, when Ivey and his friend allegedly broke into an Las Vegas apartment and threatened the tenant with a gun, forcing him into a bathroom while they looted the home. The pair of thieves made out with two Laptops, two Ipads, and and a safe, but the newfound riches only lasted for so long, as the victim later identified the duo, and they were taken into custody on November 14. In total, Ivey was charged with grand larceny, robbery with a deadly weapon and first degree kidnapping, but because he agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors, he will only be charged with a count of felony robbery to which he confesses to, in exchange for the remaining accusations being dropped.
