Jennette McCurdy Talks About Her New Album and Earliest Musical Memories

Not only is iCarly star Jennette McCurdy a witty and talented actress, but she is also a stellar singer! Jennette talked to Cambio about her new album due out later this year and her passion for music. She told us who her favorite artists are and when her love affair with music began.

Jennette's first musical memory was an intimate one: her mom singing "When You Wish Upon a Star" to her as a child. Since those early days of being sung to, Jennette has grown into a skilled musician in her own right. Her current musical influences are country stars such as Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Rascall Flatts, but she grew up listening to everything from Shania Twain to Hall and Oates. On this album Jennette wrote few songs with the help of Chris Kelley and Dave Haywood from Lady Antebellum. She also worked with Jada Marcus from Rascall Flatts which she admits was both a fun and nerve-wracking experience. Jennette hopes that her songs will be the type of songs her that fans will want to listen to over and over again.

To get a taste of her tunes, Jennette's new single "Generation Love" is out on iTunes.
