Drumroll please! And the Sugar Award for Australian Designer of the Year goes to... Alex Perry! The undisputed king of the Australian red carpet won by a whisper after some stiff competition from Zimmermann and Lisa Ho. The local labels nominated fought hard and long for the title, but in the end it was Mr Perry who won out. The label of choice for celebrities needing a dress with wow-factor, Alex's signature suck-me-in corsetry and glamorous aesthetic trumped the competition. Put your hands together and give a very fashionable round of applause for 2011's Australian Designer of the Year, Alex Perry!
